Testing Technology & Instruments
The Q-SUN Xe-1 xenon Fade o Meter
The Lightfastness tester Q-SUN Xe-1 xenon arc chamber which helps in evaluating color stability and assessing how materials resist color changes when exposed to direct sunlight.
Clarus 580 Gas Chromatograph
This instrument allows us to separate & measure the components of a complex mixture solvents using gas chromatography.
Forier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy
We are using IRTracer-100 FTIR Spectrophotometer for our lab developments. It allows us to collect high-resolution spectral data over a wide spectral range which improves ink analysis.
K Printing Proofer
The equipment is mainly used in three areas including new shade matching against pantone colors or any other printed reference sample, R&D, QC and for small scale printing inks drawdowns.
K Control Coater
The K Control Coater is widely used for the application liquid printing inks and many other surface coatings to produce quick, accurate and repeatable samples for quality control.
Brookfield Viscometer
Brookfield offers a completely digital calculating Krebs Unit Instrument and is used widely for making viscosity measurements on paints/coatings in accordance with testing methods.
Xrite Spectrometer
X-rite is used to measure the difference in color with respect to L.A.B value and results are measured in deltaE. It is also used to measure densities and opacity of the pigments.
Ink Formulation Software
DIC Pakistan proudly leverages the advanced capabilities of Sun Chemical’s ink formulation software, ensuring flawless color matching for every print job. DIC believes in integrating advanced technologies to revolutionize the shade matching process through digital transformation.
This software meticulously analyzes the spectral data from printed samples, to generate a diverse range of precise ink recipes. The assortments for the shade-matching are tailored according to the resin systems used in different kinds of printings.
By minimizing human error and variation in ink mixing, the software enables better color consistency, faster production times, and cost savings, ultimately improving the efficiency and quality of printed materials.
